What are your resolutions for 2007?

Hmmm, maybe if I post them, they'll be more likely to happen...

I just have some basic ones:

Do my 4 daily home tasks before playing around getting sidetracked on the computer :-o

Run as many days as possible (still trying to shed 2005 Italy holiday pounds, also must be in shape for February work trip)

What books did you love as a child? 

I read & re-read the Lloyd Alexander series of books (The Book of Three, The Black Cauldron, and so on). I seem to remember the library's editions of them had woodcut style artwork which I really liked as well.

I had a huge format edition of Pinocchio (the real full story), with beautiful artwork on every page. I still have it in fact, but it's so worn out from the many times I read it, that I wasn't really able to read it to my kids.

And I recall being in about 6th or 7th grade (I think), and my mom having to hide my copy of Gone With the Wind so I would get any chores or homework done. I still enjoy reading that, too.

Oh, and now that I think about it, I remember really liking the Borrowers series too. I loved how they used the common household objects in imaginative ways.

 

What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Mmmm, that would have to be my mother's corn pudding (from her mother's recipe). So custardy creamy!

What's your favorite kind of Girl Scout cookie?

Unfortunately, I can eat a whole box of Samoas during a day at the office. Of course I'm a little hyper after that ...

And then of course I have to buy another box the next day. This is the problem with having cases of them in the office next to mine (my sister's, who is the cookie person for her daughter's troop).

What's your favorite radio station, past or present?

Ooo, that's an easy one! WYEP 91.3 in Pittsburgh - a wonderful independent public station that plays a great mix of music, and supports the community and the local music scene in a big way. They stream online too, so check it out!
